robot1.jpgRobotic solutions are one of the fastest ways to bring automation and seamless integration and efficiency to any industrial application. The Robotics Division at Cherokee was created in an effort to provide clients with innovative robotic solutions for manufacturing, production, warehousing, and other industrial needs and applications.

In order to provide a unified integration of robotic technologies into client’s facilities, the Robotics Division has developed custom, turnkey solutions for customers that includes installation, programming, mapping, maintenance, and support.

Whether clients are looking to install an entire warehouse management system or a fleet of material handling robots, Cherokee has the skills and resources to make each client’s vision a reality.

AGVs and SDVs

One of Cherokee’s most common robotic solutions are automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) and self-driving vehicles (SDVs). The purpose of these vehicles is to reduce the number of forklift drivers needed in a plant, as well as reduce product damage, increase safety, facilitate more cost-effective movement of materials, and offer reinforced workforce discipline.

Cherokee can program the following equipment:

  • Linux, Robot Operating System (ROS), Python
  • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces)
  • Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Proface

Benefits of Robotic Automation

  • Cost Savings
Save money by decreasing production costs, decreasing labor salaries, and increasing speed.
  • Increased Efficiency
Work at a consistent speed with no breaks, days off, or sleep required.
  • Improved Safety
By removing the need for humans to perform some of the more dangerous tasks, while also removing the human error factor in material transport, client can enjoy increased workplace safety.
  • Increased Work Space
The efficiency and compact size of robots allow for more effective movement and use of warehouse space.
  • Employee Retention
Incorporating robots to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks allows for employees to take on more desirable responsibilities.
  • Satisfied Customers
By reducing costs in labor and increasing production, clients can pass new savings on to customers.
