Because Cherokee Millwright attracts the best employees and aims to be the employer of choice, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package including: Group medical insurance, dental insurance, group life AD&D, 401(k) among other services. All full-time regular employees are eligible the first day of the calendar month after 90 days of employment to enroll in our benefits package.

Group Medical Insurance

Our group medical insurance plan provides affordable protection from the financial burden of an illness or injury. Cherokee covers major medical expenses - 80% after deductible and 100% of most preventive expenses within network. Out of network coverage is 60%. Cherokee offers its employees the ability to customize coverage through options of employee only or family. In addition employees pay for their medical insurance on a pre-tax basis, reducing taxes and increasing take home pay. (Section 125).

Dental Insurance

This managed care plan offers very generous benefits for preventative and diagnostic care as well as substantial savings on every procedure from fillings to crowns. Like the medical insurance, dental premiums are paid on a pre-tax basis; again, reducing taxes and increasing take home pay.

Additional Services

Cherokee also provides the following voluntary benefits: Aflac accident insurance for you, your spouse and children, cancer coverage, a smoking cessation program, and personal short-term disability coverage (employee only).

Group Life and AD&D Coverage

Cherokee provides Group Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance coverage to all regular, full-time employees. This coverage is paid for entirely by Cherokee. As well, if you participate in this supplemental coverage, you may also purchase term life insurance for your spouse and children.
